We are an International Student Organization at West Virginia University (WVU). Our mission is to integrate and support African students at WVU to build relationships with the community living in the Morgantown.

Jesse is originally from Rwanda, East Africa. He is currently a junior Mechanical Engineering student at WVU. He serves the international community on campus through the tireless work as an International Students Ambassador for the WVU Office of Admissions. Jesse is passionate about the development of our motherland and hopes to inspire our generation in building a better Africa, economically and politically. Jesse is an African force to be reckoned with true and true in areas of hard work and perseverance. Congratulations!!!

Thursday November 9th: Its finally here! Join ASA as we relive the story of a formidable African force. Follow the groundbreaking journey of "Lumumba: The Leader of Congolese Independence". 6pm-8pm prompt at the Gluck Theatre, Mountainlair. Refreshments will be provided. Thursday November 9th: Join WVU College of Law Student Chapter for a discussion session on HAIR by Professor D. Wendy Greene. She will be discussing societal discrimination leveled against women of African descent pertaining to their hair. Venue is the Monongahela Room at the Mountainlair, 5:30 pm-6:30 pm prompt. Refreshments will be provided.
November 16th: ASA Interactive Social Potluck - Its that time again! The African social butterflies are back for more! Join ASA from 6pm-8pm at the Mountaineer Room, Mountainlair for a social get-together. If you can't take the heat, then bring your dish! ASA will be bringing the heat, so come with delectable dishes and interact with other mountaineers. Come and eat and meet!
December 10: U-92 FM - ASA's Musical Passport has launched! Stay tuned to WVU's flagship radio station from 10pm-12am. ASA will be blasting all the African jams you can't get enough of. Call in for musical suggestions and their cultural, political, traditional and social interpretations. You won't want to miss this the second time. Radio up!
